How do I book the hall?

Can I get access before my booking to set up?

We do not provide extra time for you to set up or clear up. All setting up and clearing away must be done within the time you have booked.

Do you have cleaners who can clear up after our event?

Unfortunately not, you are responsible for ensuring that the hall is returned to a clean and tidy state after you have finished, and for removing any rubbish from the site.

How do I get the key?

A code will be emailed to you at noon the day before your booking giving you a code which can be used to unlock the Key Safe in the porch.

Where do we leave our rubbish?

You need to take any rubbish you generate with you. We do not have the facilities to dispose of rubbish.

How much does hiring the hall cost?

The cost of hiring the hall depends upon the length of time you want it for and which parts of the hall you want to use.

Can we use a bouncy castle?

By all means if it will fit in, see our Venue page for the height of the rooms. However the delivery installation and removal must be done within the time you have booked. Unfortunately we do not have anywhere to store it before or after your event, or staff available to receive it or be on hand for it to be collected.

Can we decorate the hall?

You can decorate the hall, however we ask that you do not use sellotape to attach things to the walls, or hang anything heavy from the ceiling.

You need to do any decoration within the time period you have booked.

How big are the rooms?

Can I hire the hall on this date?

How many tables do you have?

We have:

10 round tables 6ft in diameter. These will seat 12 people. We use 82ins (208cms) disposable tablecloths which can be purchased from The Party Experts

8 150cm x 75cm rectangular tables. These will seat 2 people

16 - 75cm x 75. These will seat 1 person

Do you have cutlery and plates?

Unfortunately we do dot provide cutlery, as it is too easily lost.

Wooden cutlery is available reasonably cheaply or it can be hired.

We have some plates, however our advice is to buy disposal plates, as they are relatively inexpensive and do not require washing up.

 

Can we have a bar?

If you would like a paid licensed bar, rather than people bringing their own drinks or you supplying free drinks, then you need to use our bar provider which is Ferry Ales Brewery. Their standard bar flyer can be viewed here, this gives contact details and costs.

What is included in the booking?

If you book the Main Hall you have use of and access to the Main Hall and the Kitchen.

If you book the Lounge you have use of and access to the Lounge and the bar area, which contains a kettle and a sink.

All hirers have access to the toilets, but if you have hired only the lounge you will need to access them through the Main Entrance if the Main Hall is in use. 

Hirers of the Main Hall may need access to the Lounge to collect cleaning equipment.
